"WQ and You" Charity Giving

Because I'm dedicated to creating the quilts my customers have always wanted, I rarely have the opportunity to make or donate quilts to good causes.  But it's still important to me to give back, which is why my husband and I started a Whimzie Quiltz inspired charity giving program a couple of years ago.

"WQ and You" contributes a dedicated amount from each and every Whimzie Quiltz custom order to a specially picked charity.

So far, "WQ and You" has donated $500 to breast cancer research through the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, $660 to heart disease research through the American Heart Association (AHA) and $500 to fresh water projects in developing countries through charity:water.

For 2010, Whimzie Quiltz Facebook fans selected Doctors Without Borders, an international medical and humanitarian organization assisting people in more than 60 countries around the world.

Here's how "WQ and You" works -

Every time you request a Whimzie Quiltz design, we'll donate $25 to Doctors Without Borders - as long as your design includes white* fabrics.  It costs you nothing, because Whimzie designs are free to you, but our $25 donation based on your request will help deliver health care and emergency aid to millions of people affected by armed conflict, epidemics and natural or man-made disasters.  If you go ahead and place your white quilt order, we'll contribute another $25!  With the help of caring Whimzie Quiltz customers like you, we're hoping to donate at least $500, maybe more, in 2010.
